Neck Pillow Hack

Some days ago I bought a neck pillow from Wal-Mart for only 2 dollars, but I hated it almost immediately because it was really stiff.

So I decided to hack it and fill it with memory foam using an old memory foam pillow that I had lying around.

The materials needed are simple:

  • Wal-Mart neck pillow
  • Seam Ripper
  • Memory Foam
  • Saw Machine

I started by using the seam ripper in the back of the neck pillow just in the part that looks sewn outside.

Then just take out the cheap stuffing and save it for another project.

Then I draw in the memory foam the figure of the neck pillow and cut it with a sharp blade.

After that I stuck the Memory Foam inside the empty pillow and saw it again.

I thought on using a zipper for after access but I skipped that and saw it.

Final Toughts

The final result was really good and much more comfy, jus like the expensive ones that are sold at airports.

The time it took to do all the steps was about 10 minutes and the result was better than I expected.
