ARE YOU TIRED OF PUSHING A BUTTON TO TURN ON YOUR COMPUTER?....I AM!

ARE YOU FED UP WITH OVER USING YOUR FINGER TO DO THINGS?.....I AM!

So I decided to change the way I turn on my computer. I have always modded my computer , Lights, Bells Whistles all of that sort of thing.

The one thing that is often overlooked is how we turn the stupid things on........a button...really? no not any more, now you can be a super spy, you can be security concious, you can WOW your friends, impress family and become popular with your extreme electronic prowess.

So what do I need to change my life? Please tell me!

well....

1. Plasticard 1mm one sheet 99p e-Bay

2.Scissors (grab from someone)

3.Super glue

4.A momentary switch (I robbed the one off my computer) but they are 99p on e-Bay

5.Electricians tape (black is best, I like black)

6.A plastic card (ones from the library, nectar cards, any free one you can pick up. I used on from a recent hospital visit. as long as it is smooth)

CUT IT OUT!

if you look at the diagram you have to make a box essentially.

A TOP (9.5CM X 9CM)

A BOTTOM (9.5CM X 9CM)

4 X SUPPORT PILLARS (YOU WILL NEED 4 SQUARES FOR EACH CORNER) 1.5CM X 1CM

2 X CARD GUIDE RAILS (YOU WILL NEED 4 FOR EACH SIDE) 1.5CM X 5CM

YOU MAY HAVE TO ADJUST THE NUMBER OF SUPPORTS DEPENDING ON THE WIDTH OF THE MOMENTARY SWITCH AS IT SITS AT THE END OF THE BOX.

STICKY, STICKY STICK.

GLUE THE PARTS TOGETHER AS IN THE DIAGRAM.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THE GLUEING AND THE STICKING, THESE ARE SMALL PARTS AND WITH SUPER GLUE YOU CAN BECOME PART OF THE BOX VERY EASILY!!!!

NOTE THE POSITION OF THE SWITCH AT THE END OF THE BOX, IT IS GLUED IN THE CENTRE, WITH THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE BODY OF THE SWITCH GLUED TO THE TOP AND BOTTOM OF THE BOX.

WITH THE SWITCH POST POINTING INTO THE BOX.

FINALLY!

OK SO NOW YOU HAVE THE BOX TOGETHER AND THE SWITCH INSTALLED IN THE BOX.

THIS IS ALL DEPENDANT ON THE CARD SLIDING INTO THE BOX AND HITTING THE SWITCH AT THE END, THIS HITS THE MOMENTARY SWITCH AND THEN CLOSES THE CIRCUIT TO TURN THE COMPUTER ON.

THE EASIEST WAY TO ATTACH IT, IS TO REMOVE THE WIRES FROM THE CURRENT SWITCH THAT TURNS IT ON AND USE THEM TO ATTACH TO THE NEW SWITCH IN THE BOX.

LEAVE ENOUGH WIRE TO REATTACH THE OLD BUTTON IF NEEDED.

AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PHOTOS I HAVE INSTALLED MINE UNDER THE CD-ROM HOUSING, THERE WAS ENOUGH SPACE BEHIND TO HIDE THE BOX.

BUT YOU CAN INSTALL IT ANYWHERE! THE SIDE, THE TOP, ANYWHERE.

JUST SLIDE THE CARD IN TO BECOME THE MASTER OF YOUR WORLD!
