And did I mention that everything we are using are eco-friendly material !
Cut Out Tyvek Paper 24 cm by 25 cm
There are different types of Tyvek, it is produced in “hard” and “soft” structure types.
The ones used in this tutorials are the "soft” ones. These are lightly bonded products with an embossed pattern, providing a softer fabric-like flexible substrate with tear resistance.
DO TAKE NOTE that there are 2 sides to the Tyvek Paper!
- Keep the 24cm side on top 25cm on the sides
- Duct tape Horizontally on the rough side (waxed side)
- You would want to try to get rid of all "air bubbles" and get it as smooth as possible =)

After taping the rough side, flip over and cut off the excess
Customise your Tyvek Paper on the smooth side(embossed)
- You can choose to use oil based makers or stamps
- Sewing can also be done
- After customising, flip back to the duct taped side
- Measure 0.5cm from the top and bottom. Draw a line across with a pen
- Measure 1cm from both sides.
- Draw a line across with a pen
- Take a zipper, FLIP on to the back side
- Place the zipper, on the bottom part of be the square piece, hold it together and flip over
- Stapler along the lines… (do not need to stapler very close to each other)
- Once done, flip over
- Remember OPEN the zipper before proceeding to stapler the other side
- Fold the zipper to the side and smooth down
- Press zipper down, stapler the left side first,
- Do the same for the right side
- Measure and cut the tape by the length of the pouch,
- Cut across horizontally half (now you have 2 thin pieces)
- Press down zipper, cover up the staplers
- DO NOT tape it too close to the zipper ( you may face difficulties zipping and un-zipping it later)
- Measure tape with the height of the pouch, cut 2 pieces of the same length
- You do no need to half it this time, you will need the full piece of tape for both
- Use 1/3 of the full tape, on the front side (where you have the zipper,)
- Tape just enough to cover the staplers.
- Flip it over, and fold along the lines and stick it down.
- Do the same for the other side
- When done, open up and flip it inside out
- Edges maybe a little hard to push out, you can use a pen to assist you.
- And TADA!~ you have your Tyvek paper, no sew zipper pouch!
