Hey guys, in this instructable I will show you how to make a Halo U.N.S.C ID badge. First you need to download the U.N.S.C ID template that I made and you need the following:

an inkjet printer

inkjet transparency film

cardstock paper or 1/8in. acrylic ( these are just for looks you don't need them but the film is flimsy)

a dremel tool with cutting wheel ( only if you use acrylic)

scissors

Clear glue ( like mod podge or mod podge dimensional magic)

and a free personalized QR and barcode from http://www.barcode-generator.org/

Use the pictures I provided to show you how to make the id, If you don't have Microsoft Word I would be happy to make one for you all you need to do is email me at RunicGoods@yahoo.com and provide the picture and the barcode, and I will email you a pdf of the id to print off.

Acrylic

Once you print the id onto the transparency film you can either leave it the way it is and find a case for it, or you can cut a frame out of cardstock or you can glue it to a cut out piece of 1/8in. acrylic, I like the acrylic because it gives the full see through effect of the id, to cut the acrylic you will either need a dremel tool like me or you can get a plexiglass cutter attachment for a jigsaw. Please be careful on both of these tools, if you use a dremel tool you will need a long sleeve shirt because the dremel melts it more than it does cut and it slings the melted plastic around, but it does go fast, if you use a jigsaw be careful it's easy to slip off of the line and you could get hurt, so just be careful, once you get the acrylic cut you can now put the glue of your choice to the acrylic and you might want to wait until it's tacky so it's easy to get the air bubbles out.

once the film is glued to the acrylic I would recommend using dimensional magic to put a protective layer over the film, and once its all dry, you're done if you chose this method.

Cardstock

If you chose to make a frame out of cardstock, you start by printing the template out on the cardstock itself and cutting out the windows where the information can be seen, once the windows are cut out you can use the mod podge on the back of the cardstock and place it on the front of the film, once it's dry use the dimensional magic to stiffen it, once that's dry and you feel it looks good, you're done.

If you need any help with this project please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you to everyone who looks at this instructable this is a very fun and cool project.

Thanks -Dylan
