Brushing the Hair

Thoroughly brush the hair out, so no knots are in it.
Creating the Part

Grab your rat tail comb, and you want to create a side part.
Bye Bye Frizz

(Optional) Before you begin the braid, if you would like to add some hair spray to avoid frizziness and collect all the tiny hairs that may be up.
Beginning the Braid

To begin the dutch braid, you will want to grab a small section of hair and split it into three strands. One strand on the right will go under into the middle. You would like to do the same with the left strand (under into the middle)
Adding Hair

After having a start piece, you will add hair and repeat step 4. You will take a small section of hair, add it to the strand you are currently working on, and go under.
Adding More Hair

You will do the same process for the other strand. Grab hair and go under the strand in the middle.
Pulling Out Pieces

(Optional) You are welcome to pull out a very tiny section of the front pieces.
Grabbing Hair From the Side

Once you start getting closer to the back of the head, you will grab a section from the side and continue to add it to the braid (steps 4 & 5).
Finish the Braid

From here, you will braid down to the other side to create a side braid adding the elastic at the end.
Adding Volume to the Braid

(Optional) You will pinch the braid on both sides to create more volume
Creating the Bun

You will take the end of your braid and put it inside the braid to create a bun. You could also roll it into a bun.
Secure the Bun

You will want to take your hair pins/bobby pins to hold the bun secure. Making sure the hair tie does not show.
Curling the Front Pieces

If you took out the front pieces, you would want to add hair protector spray and use the marcel to curl the pieces.
Final Look

The final step will be to apply hair spray to finish the look!
