What do you do with empty toilet paper rolls. Hummm.. throw them away? No you craft with them... there is many things you can make with empty toilet paper rolls and I'm here to show you one on mine. When you are finished no one will know it came from your bathroom. It can be painted up any way you want , decorated any way you want, quick simple and easy to make.

Gather Up Your Supplies

you will need:

  • empty toilet paper roll
  • glue,
  • ribbon or string in your choice
  • paints or nail polish
  • scissors
  • embellishments
  • hole punch if desired
  • clothes pins
  • a pencil, or marker

and lets begin......... carefully cut your toilet paper roll by following along the seam on it till its laying flat. cut it into desired thickness of strips following the angle of the unfolded roll.

Punch a hole in top point for ribbon to fit thru or cut string of your choice to 6 inches and fold in half and glue ends to you your top point then you fold over and clamp with a clothes pin to let the glue dry.

Shape and Paint...

Paint the inside first while it is flat because its not so easy to paint once it's curled Once dry curl it around on your pencil or marker ( the bigger the pencil or marker the more loose the swirl will be the smaller the pencil or marker the tighter the swirl will be ) and paint it any way you want , use your clothes pins to help hold it on till it dries than you can take it off and it is curled.Once you remove the clothes pins you can touch up the ends where the clothes pins were so it is all covered and they should look like this by now ...........

Add Embellishments...

Make a bow with a fork... if you don't know that one check it out on pintrest or youtube its very easy and makes cute tiny little bows like I have pictured here. There is so many different ways and things you can use to decorate your ornament , be creative.... use nail decals, the little plastic gem stones you find in your local walmart craft dept, pom poms, colored pipe cleaners, google eyes ( to make it look like a worm )

Putting It All Together...
