Using WebEx to Control a User's PC

Technical documentation attached (as PDF/Powerpoint) and below on how to use WebEx to control a user's PC in order to provide remote technical support.

  1. Open Cisco WebEx application
  2. Click green "Start" button to start a previously scheduled meeting.
  3. Click green "Start Meeting" to open the meeting.
  4. In meeting, click on participant button on lower right.
  5. Right click on user’s name > Left click on “Change Role” > Left Click on “Make Presenter”.
  6. Ask user to go to Share > Share Content > Screen
  7. On the far left side of the screen, there will be an icon that looks like a computer mouse. This is the “Ask to Control” icon.
  8. Click on the “Ask to Control” icon > then the “Request” button > finally the “Take Control” button
