Utility Hand
Our utility hand made for everyday use to people who have lost their hands.
Supplies
Cardboard, Magnets, Glue, Paint, Pens, Pencils, and more.
Trace Out a Hand
First step is we trace out one of our groupmate's hand. This will be used as our template.
Cut Out a Hand
The 2nd step is that we cut out our hand that was traced on the cardboard. This will be the hand for our prototype.
Attach Magnets in Between the Fingers
The 3rd step is we have to glue and attach magnets in between each finger. This is important so that we can later glue on magnets and attach those to the hand.
Painting
The 4rth step to this project is painting. We don't want the hand to just look like cardboard so we decided to go with a simple color that works well, white.
Attach More Magnets
We will attach magnets to the fingers now so it can hold up together with the magnets inside the hand. This will be useful to attach pens, pencils, and more to the hand.
Attach Utilities
We will now add our final pieces of magnets and glue them to the pens and pencils, then we will attach those magnets with the magnets already on the fingers of the hand. Now you are able to use the hand to do various activities and it will help you with your everyday life.
