Valentines day is approaching time to make those gifts for the one in your life.

This project can be completed in a couple of hours and will make someone very happy.

I will write out the steps but i also suggest you watch the video to give you more details.

What you need

Wood to the size you require or whatever you have available.

Forstner bit to fit the glass candle holders

5 glass tealight holders

5 candles

bandsaw with 1/8 in blade

Sandpaper 80/120/240/400/600 grit (you can go as high as you want to get a really smooth finish)

Glue heart image in the centre of the wood.

I also use sellotape over the top to make sure image stays in place.

Step 2

Before i cut the the heart out i used the forstner bit to make a shallow recess for the tea lights in the top side of the box and also in the heart.

Step 3

Time to cut the heart out and also the block in half.

I then cut about a 1/3 off the back of the heart as i felt it was to thick but thats up to you.

Step 4

I sanded until smooth.

I used sand sealer to seal the wood then sanded lightly once dry.

I used clear laquer to finish.

I used epoxy to glue the glass holder in place.

Put candles in and your all done.

If you get stuck watch the video it goes into more detail.
