[Mini Tuto] Fabriquer un lustre vintage Edison version 2

To follow up on the 1st chandelier that I installed in the living room, here is a second one in the same style for the dining room!

Like the first version, it is equipped with 3 vintage-style Led filament bulbs, wire lampshades, all installed on a round board.

Supplies

For the base, I used recovery boards. 4 pieces that I glued together.

I spotted a common location and hollowed out the slice with the plate joiner.

I inserted the lamella with glue and I assembled the whole with clamps.

Cutting the Circle

To cut a perfect circle, I used the router with the compass accessory.

I made several passages increasing the depth.

I finished with another bit to make the bevel.

Relative to the center, I divided the circle into 3: 360 ° / 3 = 120 °.

Then I dug the location of the wires with the router and I provided 3 holes for the screw covers for the ceiling attachment.

I assembled the sockets, then I connected the electrical wires.

I chose a braided black wire to stay in the vintage style. I added a cable hose clamp to secure the cables, I made the connections of the phases and the neutrals with quick connection terminals, and I glued the cables with a hot glue gun.

Bulbs

I screwed in the lampshades and bulbs and did a test run before installation.

For the assembly I used plasterboard screws that I hid with black plastic caps.

I replaced the switch with a connected dimmer to be able to vary the light intensity.

Hope you enjoy this project and don't hesitate if you have any questions!
