Water Bottle Gyro-Throw

Your probably asking "whats a Gyrothrow"? well its a hollow foot ball with grooves like a propeller in the sides give it a spiral movment as well as thrust as it glides effortlessly though the air.

This project takes about 5 minutes.

Materials

For this you will need

A water bottle
An e-xacto Knife or box opener
1 Sheet of paper
Tape
Optional - Markers (to color it)

Cut the Bottle

Give a general description of the StepIn order to do this cute both the ends of the water-bottle of so the middle is left. The Middle needs to be about 3 inches long give or take a little bit.

Cut Slits

Now you need to cut Out to rectangles from each side of the Bottle Make sure you cut them diagagnle.

As a refrence use this picture i made in MS Paint

The black spots you should cut-out

Ignore the red for now.

Now it will fly OK. To realy make this fly wonderfully add paper strips to the bottle by taping them on

The red in the picture represents the paper strips

Throw It!

When throwing use a normal foot-ball stance one foot in front of the other. Theres no need to give it spin because it does this by itself.
