Watermelon Chervil Salsa
This recipe is a delicious blend of both hot and sweet ingredients which work together in harmony to create a taste sensation. Watermelon Chervil Salsa can be served with tortilla chips or dolloped on top of chicken or fish and is guaranteed to treat your taste-buds.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups chopped watermelon
- half cup of chopped green capsicum
-2 tablespoons of lime juice
- 2 tablespoons of finely chopped chervil
- 1 tablespoon of chopped spring onion
- 1 tablespoon of finely chopped jalapeno chillies
- half teaspoon of garlic salt
Dicing Watermelon
Using a sharp knife cut watermelon flesh into cubes of approximately 1 cm until you have 3 cups. Set aside.
Dicing Capsicum
Remove seeds from inside capsicum and cut into 1 cm strips. Then dice into 1cm pieces until you have half a cup. Set aside.
Dicing Spring Onion
Remove outer layer/skin from spring onion. Slice into 1 cm pieces until you have a tablespoon full and set aside.
Dicing Jalepenos
Slice open jalapeno lengthways and remove seeds. Slice into thin slivers until you have a tablespoon full and set aside.
Combine Ingredients
Combine previously diced ingredients together in a bowl.
Add Remaining Ingredients
Add measured out remaining ingredients to the bowl which includes 2 tablespoons of chervil, 2 tablespoons of lime juice,and half a teaspoon of garlic salt.
Combine Ingredients
Combine all ingredients together gently so as not to break, yet thoroughly so all the flavours compliment each other.
Serve and Enjoy!
