Waterproof Paper Using Wax!

Does the paper at your home gets wet when exposed to water? Wanna save it? Ever thought of making your won Waterproof paper at home!

If you wish, You are at the right place then!

The Concept

The concept behind the waterproof paper is that when we expose paper to water, it gets completely wet, but if we rub some wax on it, a layer of wax is put above the paper, the layer protects your paper for some time when its exposed to water. Many kinds of papers have this ability in-built as well!

What Would You Need?

1 x Candle (Any would work!)

1 x Paper (Any kind of)

And some water to test your waterproof paper!

Step 1: Writing Some Text

Now, write some text on your paper. Make something big so it can be seen more precisely.

Step 2: Rubbing With Wax

Now, rub the paper with the candle. Any color candle would work as it doesn't effect much!

Do this over the front and back until the paper has a slick, waxy feel. Be careful not to rub too hard or the paper might rip.

Step 3: Testing It!

Now its the time to test it out!

Take 1/4 cup of water and pour it on the paper!

Saw the magic? This is because of your paper is covered with wax!
