Week 2: Stacking or Nesting Objects

3D printing nesting objects.

Last week, we learned about transforming, stacking, and nesting objects.

I've followed the instructions given in the class and tried out different shapes and patterns.

To revolve surface, a curve was drawn with the curve tool in Rhino.

Using the Revolve Surface component in Grasshopper, it was revolved to create a bowl-shaped basket geometry.

A nested set of stacked baskets were created with iterative scaling.

The baskets are decorated with a pattern created in last class.

Surface Morph component in Grasshopper is used.

This is a rendered image for the nesting baskets, and the estimation time for printing the smallest object is 1day 20minutes.
