DIY Dry Erase Board / DIY Whiteboard / Reusable Paper

These sheets are cheap to make. You can make a whole bunch of them for the same price as some dry erase boards and they work the same. Except they're not actially 'dry erase'. They are 'wet erase.' If you just rub them with your hand or a dry rag, the writing wont come off, but it comes off easily with a wet rag.

Ok, I Said It Was Cheap, But....

The catch is you need a thermal laminator. The thermal laminator is around 20 dollars. Keep it nice and keep the packaging it comes in nice along with you receipt and you should have no problem using it to make a lifetime supply of these sheets and then returning it, whereupon the store you return it to will just stick it back on the shelf to be sold to someone else. Trust me. I work in the store. As long as an item comes back in the same condition it was sold in, it goes back on the shelf.

You will also need thermal laminating pouches, and card stock paper. A pack of 50 laminating pouches are about 6 dollars, the card stock is about 6 dollars for a ream of it. Lets say 6 to 12 dollars for a set of wet erase markers if you don't already have them. Your looking at 40-50 dollars for the supplies to do this exactly like I did it. With 20 or so coming back to you if you return the laminator.

*DO NOT TRY THIS WITH A CLOTHES IRON*-I tried it, the sheets turned out unusably wrinkly/crumpled.

This Doesn't Work With Dry Erase

It erases dry erase most of the way but not all of the way.

Read the Instructions, Make the Sheets

Put the cardstock in the pouch and laminate it. There you go, a nice wet erase sheet.
