What's Inside? (Storybook #18)

Get out your scissors! This week's offering has many little pieces to cut out. All that cutting will give you an interactive storybook that will keep little hands busy.

Print Pages 1-4

Print the pages 1-4 of the PDF, using these settings: landscape, double-sided, flip on the short edge.

If possible, use light weight cover stock.

Print Pages 5-7.

Print the pages 5-7 of the PDF, using these settings: landscape, SINGLE-sided.

If possible, use light weight cover stock.

Cut.

Cut two sheets in half as shown.

DO NOT CUT pages 5-7!

Stack and Fold.

Stack the pages in order.

Fold.

Sew.

Cut Out the Pieces on Pages 5 and 6.

Cut out each individual piece on pages 5 and 6.

Tape and Fill Pockets.

Using packaging tape, tape the dump truck cutout right over the matching dump truck on page 3, then place the toolbox cutout in the pocket that has been formed.

Tape the lower portion of the red toolbox right over the matching toolbox on page 5, then place the taped box cutout in the pocket.

Tape the open box cutout right over the matching open box on page 7, then place the basket cutout in the pocket.

Tape the lower portion of the basket cutout right over the full basket on page 8, then place the round yellow box cutout in the pocket.

Tape the lower portion of the round yellow box cutout right over the matching yellow box on page 10, then place the treasure box cutout in the pocket.

Tape the lower portion of the treasure chest cutout right over the matching treasure chest on page 11, then place the bowl cutout in the pocket.

Tape the lower portion of the bowl cutout right over the matching bowl on page 12, then place the cereal cutout in the pocket.

Make the Nesting Pockets.

Cut along the dark lines for each figure on page 7. Fold at the dotted lines.

Using regular tape, tape the bottom and one side of each figure, forming a pocket that is open at the top.

Tape the largest "Pocket" right over the dump truck on page 14.

Nest all of the pockets inside each other.
