Who Well Starts ...(waiting for Spring)
This simple instructables is maintenance, which this year I did of my garden tools ... waiting for a spring that really late this year to venitre here in Italy.
Just look at my instructable: https://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-block-weeds-and-water-conveyor/ to see that last year at this time we were already in open fields with crops, while this year we begin to move the soil that, in this period is still waterlogged from incessant rains, recent
Today is one of the first days of good Sun, and waiting, I put in place the tools.
Nothing special so just I wanted to give a touch of design to my gear now consumed by ensuring a thorough maintenance.
I targeted my older gear, as you can see in the figure, were truly pitiful conditions.
The first thing to do was to remove the layer of rust and dirt.
And let's begin ....
With a steel brush, using the screwdriver, I vigorously scraped away rust from both wheel until you get a more acceptable result possible.
The small blade gave me the best results, while, with the shovel big, as you can see, I kinda gave up; in fact some cement redsidui were too "attached" and I left them there.
I passed then to the next step: painting the coat of rust converter.
Nothing to explain about this step: a simple uniform coat of rust converter and ... wait for it to dry thoroughly.
Then I painted both blades with a sturdy coat of acrylic spray paint black mat with the result as in the second figure
To give a touch of class to what I thought to create an airbrush effect that lately much use in my projects. I've done using a spray of silver color, by testing the Jet with small splashes and I far enough from the surface by coloring.
In the last picture you can see the masking tape I made for coloring of the silver blade, always for aesthetic reasons, of course.
Here is the result ....
A final touch: my new logo (are my initials) .... It reminds me something ...

And here's the end result, including the handles which I duly Walnut coloured coating coloured.
Well. Wait for the spring with such tools, you have to admit that is a whole other thing!!!
