Whole Apple Pie
Apple pie is delicious no matter what form it takes, but there's something extra fun about having a whole apple pie.

For the Crust:
- 1 1/2 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Large pinch salt
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 small/medium apples
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Mixing bowl
- Plastic wrap
- Cookie sheet
- Small mixing bowl
- Rolling pin
How To
- Combine flour, sugar, and salt
- Mix in butter until crumbly
- Add water and vinegar and mix well
- Wrap in plastic and chill for at least 1 hour
- Peel and core apples and slice thinly
- Combine cinnamon, sugar, and brown sugar and coat the apple slices in the mixture
- Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
- Divide the dough into two halves and roll out each half into a rough circle
- Reassemble the slices of each apple in the center of the dough
- Wrap the dough up around the apple and add a half-tablespoon of butter to the top before closing the dough
- Place on the cookie sheet (they will leak some while baking) and bake for 30 - 40 minutes or until the dough is browned
- Allow to cool slightly and enjoy! For extra deliciousness, serve with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
