Wing Tip Glider
I am a Grandview Preparatory School Student. I am in 7th grade and I made a glider that has specially improved stability for flying in windy weather. Due to limited access to Fusion 360, I made some of the project in Tinkercad
Supplies
- 3D printer filament
- 3D printer
- Sandpaper
- Sharp pliers
- Computer
Make the Body
Starting in Tinkercad, I used a cylinder with a circumference of 22mm. with a length of 174mm (you can use any scale you like). After that is done, add a dome to the back, and a cone to the front. Export for later.
Add the First Wing
Draw a wing with the drawing tool in Tinkercad rounded in the front and flat in the back. Start small and scale bigger.
Making the Wings
Move to Fusion 360. Insert this image into tinkercad draw one wing, copy that wing 4 times, and size to the scale you like, or the scale your printer can print to.
Bring It Together
Import the body and main wing to the project. you can do this using insert mesh.
Building the Glider
Join everything together. Then center the wings and main wing.
