Pyrography Wood Burning: Fish
Here is a beautiful and decorative way to take a piece of wood and turn it into art.
Stay tuned to the end of this instructables for a time lapsed video of another fish I burned.
Gather Supplies; Find What Inspires You
My tools for this project is:
Old cutting board
Wood burning tool ( Walmart about $9)
Pencils for drawing your art on your piece of wood
What inspires me is anything and everything that deals with fish, fishing, etc. So I decided to draw a rolling/tailing redfish on an old once useless cutting board.
Start Burning
I start by burning the solid lines first within the drawing.
Then work shading off the solid lines.
As you can tell I changed my mind when it comes to the reflection of the fish.
Once content with your masterpiece, you can put it on display whether its the wall, on top of a table, or what I might do is re cover it with food grade stain and use it as a cutting board again.
Wood Burning in Action
This is a previous project I have done and posted it on Youtube. Came out better than I expected. Have fun and Burn away (Safely of course).
