Workbench Laptop Stand From Old Shutters

Desk space is important. I needed to get my laptop out of my way and still be able to look at it while doing projects. I used some old shutters I had laying around in the garage and made this laptop stand.

I used shutters, like the one pictured, but you could make the same design with 1x2s or something.
I took off the knob and hinges, and knocked out the slats with a rubber mallet.
The pieces of wood pictured are what I cut out to use.

Prep the Wood

Sand, and fill the holes.
I used sheetrock putty because I already had it, but wood putty/filler would be ideal here.

Assemble

I just used some wood glue, and medium screws.
Don't forget your pilot holes.

Paint

I used black spray paint, but it's up to you.

It's not the most aesthetically pleasing thing I've ever built, but it was easy, free, and does what I need it to. Hope this helps someone. Thanks for reading.
