World's Best Guacamole

CIMG0886.JPG
Guacamole is a staple at mexican themed parties and dinners, but this easy recipe will have you craving guacamole more often than just special events. It goes great with chips and salsa, and it can be used as an appetizer or a snack. It's easy to make, and you don't have to be a professional chef to turn heads with this recipe's great taste.

The supplies and ingredients you will need are listed below. In addition, I have provided a picture of everything you will need. Note: I have granite countertops, so no cutting board is necessary. However, if you do not have granite, I strongly suggest using a cutting board.

Ingredients:
Four large avocados
Two tomatoes
One onion
One lemon
One lime
Salt
Pepper
Crushed red pepper

Supplies:
One large bowl
A sharp knife
A fork
A spoon

Use the sharp knife to cut the avocados into halves. Remove the pits and slice the meat of the avocado into small squares without cutting through the skin (see picture below). Then, use the spoon to remove the meat of the avocados and place the squares in your large bowl.

Step 2

Using your knife and fork, dice up the avocados in the bowl until they appear almost mashed.

Step 3

With your spoon, create a small cavity in the bowl of guacamole for lime juice. Cut a lime in half, and squeeze the lime juice into cavity. Then, mix the lime juice into the guacamole.

Step 6

Add salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper as desired. Then, mix into guacamole.

Step 7

If you are not eating immediately, cut the lemon in half and squeeze one of the halves of the lemon on top of the guacamole to keep from browning. Refrigerate for best taste. Or, if you are eating immediately, grab some chips and enjoy!
