I know that there are a lot of duct tape wallet instructables out there, however, this one is different... This one is a trifold woven /checkered wallet.

LOTS OF PATIENCE

The Woven Panel

First take a strip of tape seven or eight roll widths long. Lay tape face down. Take another strip of the opposite color tape and lay it at right angles on the other strip of tape, color side down, with half an inch of tape extending over the top (see picture) and a two tape widths extending down the other side. Now lay another eight roll width long strip of the first color down on top of the second piece of tape that was lain down alongside of the first long strip. Now do the same thing but in reverse. Take a short piece and go under the first long piece and over the second long piece. Continue in this fashion until you have six short pieces woven into the longer ones. Try to keep all the pieces of tape as close to flush as you can. After this take two long pieces of tape and cover the back of the panel you just made. cut off any excess on the sides. Fold over the excess on the top of panel. Leave the excess on the bottom long, we will use it later.

The Inside Panel

Lay color side down six of the short strips side by side. Lay two long strips down on top of them. Wrap the top and bottom excess over and cut off the excess on the sides.

Put Em Together

First cut about a quarter of an inch off of the inside panel(sorry no picture). Put the first panel checkered side down and lay the second one on top. Wrap the excess tape of the first panel up over the second panel. Cut a triangle in between the first two strips, the second two strips and then again between the second two strips and the third two strips. There should only be two triangles cut out. Now on either end match up the colors of tape on the outside and wrap around on the inside. The edges need to be smooth so that they will not wear out as fast as other duct tape wallets will. This is the end of the basic form. It will hold cash but no change or credit cards/gift cards. if you want that go ahead to step 5...

COIN POCKET!
take two strips a little over twice the width of your wallet(that is top to bottom). Wrap them around sticky side out and over lap them half an inch. Lay them side by side on one side. Wrap another strip up over the top and down into the inside cash pocket, do this for both the strips. Do the same thing you did for the edges earlier again, but this time cut a little extra tape to wrap inside the coin pocket.

Sorry no pictures for this step.

But now we are going to make credit card pockets. Wrap a piece of duct tape all the way around a card sticky side out letting half an inch hang down off the bottom of the card. Wrap this up and stick it to the back side of the tape. place this on the middle section of the trifold.Place another peice of tape over this to make sure it won't go anywhere, and you pretty much done. I just can't describe how i finished up the wallet, but it should be up to you. Have fun! These pictures should be something similar to what your finished product looks.
