XYZ Connect 3D Printed Box Shelves

Why not display your amazing 3D Printed collection with the help of your trusty 3D printer?

Make use of these box shelves as a display case at home or perhaps for your 3D Printing shopfront display and showcase the versatility of 3D printing technology in all its glory.

Use these simple "XYZ Connect" parts to combine 6mm (1/4 inch) thick plywood pieces and create your very own shelving system.

Materials Required
- Drill with philips head attachment
- 4g 12mm (1/2 inch) cabinet screws (black preferred)
- pre-cut plywood sheets from your hardware shop.

Plywood
We used sheets of 1200x450x6mm sheets (4'x 1 1/2'x 1/4") and got them cut to size from hardware shop that does free timber cutting like Masters.

Printing and Assembly

Printing
1 box requires 8 XYZ Connect pieces to fix the 4 corners. We recommend printing at least 1.2mm shell thickness and at 60% infill.

For wider boxes, you will require additional pieces for added rigidity.
the XYZ Connect_Side and XYZConnect_back can be used to fix a rear panel that will give additional support to the boxes.

Use the holes in the XYZ Connect pieces as guides for where you need to fix your screws to the plyboard sheets. We recommend predrilling the holes onto the plywood sheet to make fixing the screws easier.
