Yellow Flower Pet Costume

My dog's name is Daisy and so I made her a basic flower costume for Halloween.

Green fleece dog sweater (purchased)

yellow felt

scissors

pipe cleaners

needle and thread

Sewing machine (optional)

Cut the fleece to pieces with a square bottom but rounded top. I had 6 pieces 6 inches wide, but you could have wider pieces or more depending on your preference and the size of your dog.

Create a box pleat by folding it in half and bending back the edges. Sew the pleat so it stays in place with either the needle and thread or a sewing machine.

to add a bit of stability, I used pipe cleaners, twisting loops at the end for so I could hand sew them into the pleat and they would stay put.

I sewed the petals on with the pipe cleaner support facing backward, and on the outside of the neck hold so that it doesn't irritate.
