Zentangle Ballerina Art - in Shades of Red

IMG_20180527_200937.jpg

I am a 16 year old girl.My name is Akanksha. I am very passionate about art. I mostly use to sketch but this time I tried painting.

I have taken idea from Zentangle patterns and ballerina. I used oil colors, fabric paints, red marker and water color. I have used very thin paintbrush to make these patterns.

The things I have used are easily available in the market. So, I hope you will like it.

Drawing a Rough Sketch

On a white sheet make a rough sketch of the dancing girl using a pencil. Don’t use a dark pencil because you have to paint it using oil colors.

Painting the Girl

Now paint the girl using red oil color with a ‘0’ size paintbrush.Make it shady. Remember oil color doesn't mix with water, so paint carefully. After, painting the girl let it up or it will get messy . Draw various doddle, Zentangle designs to fill the space around the girl, leaving a little space from the outline of character.

Making Zentangle Patterns

Prepare the different shades of red by mixing other color(like orange, pink, cream, brown etc color) with red.

Make different patterns with different shades of red and fill the whole page the same way. Make sure whatever you make with pencil is very light and is not visible after painting.

Giving a Finishing Touch

I have also used red marker to give a finishing touch to my painting.

And voila! You have this beautiful painting.
