Zip Tie Ruler and Length Comparer

This will allow you to measure things and more important to compare distances without the classical "taking the size with your fingers" or " putting your finger on the ruler to compare the sample ".

All that with a simple zip tie, and a sticker.

Put the Zip Tie backwards (the way it does not get stuck and you can move freely forward and backward).

Then we will take a white sticker long as the ruler we want.

If you have a printer you can print the image on the pictures with a ruler, i made it to be on a 30cmx0.8cm zip, but you can modify it to get the size you need.

If you don't have a printer you can make it yourself as I did.

Put the sticker under the ruler, and mark each milimeter (or inch). Draw bigger lines for the numbers and the halfs to help the user get the lengths, and finaly draw the natural numbers each centimeter (or inch).

Now we have the zip prepared and the sticker with the ruler on it, we just have to stick it on the smooth side, and it is done.

Now, you can mesure the length of everything around you, and if you use the head of the zip to adjust it, you will be able to easily compare lengths between different things!
