Zipper Pouch
This is a very simple zipper pouch. Once you did your first one, you can repeat all steps in less than 15 Minutes. Good if you need more than one.
What You Need
- A piece of fabric of your choice. It has to be two times as wide as the pouch should be. The other side has to be the same length as the depth of the pouch. Of course add some for the seam allowance.
- An endless zipper which is the same length as the width of the fabric.
- A zipper puller fitting your zipper.
- Sewing equipment: Sewing machine, thread, Scissors.
Sew the Zipper
Fold the fabric to the back and sew the zipper to it. Since the zipper should have about the same length as the cloth, it should fit somehow.
Remove Half of the Zipper
Just pull off half of the zipper. You don't need it for the poach. But since it is so fast to do this poach you can sew another one and give it away.
Join the Zipper
Join the zipper on itself as shown in the picture. Search Youtube when you have trouble joining your zipper. It is easy once you seen it.
Sew It
Turn it to the left and sew both open sides. Start at the zipper. Be careful not to break your needle. Then follow the open edges. I have done everything except the zipper with my overlock what makes it even faster to sew this poach.
When you don't have an overlock, no problem, just sew along the edges. Cut everything straight and zigzag the edges.
Done
Turn it back and you are done!
You can do various sizes as you like
