Cheap Diy Archery Target
For the beginner archery it can be overwhelming how expensive everything is. My wife and I are poor college students so I decided to try to make a target myself so I can save a few bucks.
What You Will Need and Cost
1. animal bedding chips $7 at Cal Ranch
2. burlap sack $1.50 at Cal Ranch
3. milk jug lid $free fifty
4. any heavy string or cordage lying around the house I used hemp decorating string because my wife had some.

Put Your Filling in the Bag
Really I imagine you could use quite a few different things for filling. Even a bag of potting soil but that might be hard on your arrow points. Newspaper crumpled up would work but it would take a lot to make it dense.
String Needle
I didn't have a needle to use with thicker string so I made this. just make a pointy shape with a hole in it and viola, you've got a needle that'll work with burlap.
Sewing the End of the Bag
You don't have to be a pro to sew burlap just about any stitch will do. I just go through from one side to another. No idea what kind of stitch this is but it works.
Your Done and It Cost Less Than 10 Bucks! Woot Woot!
have fun and make sure to have something behind the target if you are shooting with a high poundage bow. I have a 60 pound compound but I made a few pvc bows for fun to shoot with my wife. Thanks to BackyardBowyer on youtube!
