This is the finished phone.I wanted a phone that had a good camera, this one does. Unfortunately the Nokia n95 is not only ugly it is also common, lots of my work colleagues have the same phone.I thought of lots of ways to decorate it but in the end I decided to paint it.

Influences

The Icon of Bert lives in front of my television I wanted to use the same roses to decorate the phone.(for all the details about ithe icon see http://www.alialexander.com.au/bert.htm ]I

Ingredients

phone swap.JPG
- nail polish in assorted pinks and black
- Artline 400XF
- Acetone
- cotton buds
- tooth picks
- tissues

I didn't end up using the acetone, just painted over mistakes.

First Step

Use the Artline to outline the shape of the roses

Fill In

Use the pink nail polish to fill in the flowers and the black to fill in the rest.
Also use the black to cover the silver colour around the lens.

I decided that the rose was too small so I made it bigger.
I like that it looks kind of like a tapestry.

Regular Touch Ups

If your phone is like mine ( goes everywhere thrown into a handbag), the paint is not going to remain perfect. I quite like that it's not perfect, but I think it's a good idea to touch it up.
This is a few weeks later, before and after touching up.
Again I like that it makes the phone look more handmade.
