Easy Blow Gun

In this instructable i will show you how to make a blow gun out of household materials!  PLEASE, be careful, I am not responsible for injuries.   These do not work when wet.

- Q-tips, they need to be hollow.
- toothpicks
- straws
- scissors
- tape

To make the blow gun, take your straw, and cut out the bendy part, so that you have a long straw section and a short straw section.  Take the short section and cut it open. Then take another straw, put it close to the long section, than take the short section that you cut and put it around the two straws, and tape it there. Try to seal the part were the two straws meet.  You can add as many straws together to make as long a blow gun as you want. At the end of mine, I just cut four slits, equal distance apart, folded them back, and taped them there. I made mine four straws long.

Grab your Q-tips(make sure there hollow!), tooth picks, and scissors.  Take your Q-tip and and cut the more fluffy white end off, close to it, but not on the white fluff!(you can try to pull the fluff back then cut it.)  Then, take your tooth pick, and cut off 1/4 to 1/2 of the tooth pick, and stick it into the Q-tip.  Then you have your dart! You can experiment with the size of the tooth pick for different front waiting.  If you want a safe tipped dart, clip both points off of the tooth pick, and put it in the long Q-tip, and then put the other tip of the Q-tip on to the other end of the tooth pick.

There you have it! You have just made yourself a blow gun with darts!  I hope you enjoyed making this.  PLEASE, be careful, I'm not responsible for injuries.  I suggest that you use this outside, but if you made the safe tipped darts, you could probably use it indoors, if it is ok with your parents , and when firing, make sure there is no one in the path of the dart!
