Entomology Sampler

This will allow for the easier collection of specimens in the winged variety although not excluding other determined creatures that would make their way into trap. Although it wouldn't kill the specimens as long as their certain size the first filter indeed would get rid of mosquitos or flies simply since their a bother. The specimen can easily be released once you have taken a picture of the bugs. Its just to identify the type of species in your back purely academic.Map out the species in the book.
materials
small pvc pipe
led lantern
electrical tape
small box
large box
chicken wire
tin snips
12 volt battery holder
watercolor sheets
drywall saw
wires
bamboo skewer
12 volt wet and dry vacuum
screwdriver
making tape
electrical glue
6 aa batteries
soldering iron
solder
hefty plastic bag
bait- high fructose corn syrup, powdered sugar and little bit of water in plastic measuring cup

get a large elongated box and cut off the tabs of the box on one side

then 2 inches below cut box all the way down horizontal line till the end
both sides

I took the motor and vacuum blade from a portable wet dry vacuum that never seemed to work well and its one quality. 12 volt

thats a quality motor simply got rid of wires on the end since i won't be needing short wires.

but the housing of motor will be part of vacuum top part minus the filter and base.

just get rid of the tops arm its bother

should have no extruding stuff from the top

test to see if motor works with battery housing

give it the long wires of its own and bend the ends on end of motor

put the electrical tape the exhaust part of vacuum top

solder the wires to end of motor
apply electrical tape glue to the solder ends

then stick the motor in the top plastic housing

there is a little slit at the top that you can stick the wires out from

then put half inch make a foot incision in box both sides and near beginning of the box and stick the chicken wire through it then slip the vacuum housing under it but also be weary to to make a electrical pad so it doesn't spark and catch underneath the vacuum and tape it down sort of . Stick the wires out of the 2 inch down incision that you have already made.

then put a smaller box on top with taps cut off and tape it should end where the chicken wire ends and put a card board tab to block vacuum housing

tape it

then slide some watercolor sheets at the long 2 incision you made

then put a bamboo skewer straight and near the top poke it through the cardboard box and make a filter kind of like how you would make a snow flake

then tape it to it doesn't have to be perfect

then the 2 has to be some what perfect i did a simple cardboard with triangle hole at the top just to divide bugs upon ability and size

the put a hoe on both sides of the small box this where flying bugs would enter at

use a jumbo plastic bag slice it in half the clear part

the use bamboo skewers to poke the plastic in place

and tape it

hook the batter holder up to the wires and put the electrical tape around it and put the bait at the end of trap
put pvc and led lantern through pvc
although it has been tested just not in action since insects don't have body fat if you can see your breath then no bugs will fly tonight and according to weather forecast says that scenario for next ten days or so.
