Evil Hand Eye Patch
Hi there I wasn't sure if i was going to do an instructable on how to do this so I didn't take any photos of the making but i thought i would show the final results of it and talk about what I did.
first of i could buy a normal 8.5X11" sheet of leather and to buy large enough leather it would have been about 60 to 50 bucks, so in order to save money I went to hobby lobby and picked up a 3 lb bag of leather left overs for about 5.99.
I printed out the pattern from here http://www.craftstylish.com/item/12658/the-claw-how-to-make-an-unusual-halloween-mask but to get it to the right scale i had to make a print out that was 17"X22" so in adobe reader i just went and used poster print and scaled it to 150 % and that made it go from 8.5"x11" to the 17"X22".
after that i got the black leather and made sure i had room on it and started tracing with a modeling tool if you want to see how to do that go here:https://www.instructables.com/id/Leather-Bag-for-Everything/step3/Tracing-The-Design-Into-The-Leather/
after the tracing i cut out the pieces and instead of leaving the grey areas for the paper to be glued i cut it out. i then got a single prong 1/8" prong chisel and put in 2 lacing holes on each joint then sewed them together with a running stitch of sorts and then sprayed finish on all the pieces i used shellac
then i made four holes to hole the bones onto the arm then behind the bones i made another 1/8" inch hole both directly across from each other and then put ribbon.
I hope everyone enjoys this it took maybe 20- 40 minutes to do :3 and i thought i would share tell me what you think and if u do try this show it to me.
