Floral Stockings

 i will be telling you how to make stockings from shade cloth lined with plastic, then plant with red and white petunias. These cute outdoor Christmas decorations look great hanging in a row. And they make a great gift!

Sheet of shade cloth
Cardboard
Felt pen
Stapler
Knitting needle
Eyelet fastener and packet of eyelets
Small plastic freezer bags
Potting mix
Red and white potted petunias
Red piping or thick string
Metal hanging hooks

Cut a stocking-shaped template from cardboard and position on shadecloth sheet (folded in half). Trace around template with a felt pen.

Cut out stocking and staple the 2 pieces together.

Repeat Step 1 and Step 2 to make desired number of stockings. Use knitting needle to push 3 holes through front of each stocking. Insert an eyelet in each hole and press with fastener. Tie a piece of red piping or thick string through each eyelet.

Part-fill plastic freezer bags with potting mix and put 1 bag in each stocking.
