Giant Baby Bottle Gift

What did you make?                I made a giant baby bottle as a gift for my neighbor who had a girl. I used a cake platter for the bottom and an empty gift wrap roll in the middle. I put diapers inside and covered and decorated it with ribbon. I used a hat as the top of the bottle.                                                                                                                                                                                       How did you make it?             This neighbor had a lot of children and I had already made baby gift for her. I had used ideas that I had seen in different places but I couldn't find any other ideas. This idea  just came to me when I was thinking of what to give to her, so I had to work with only the vision in my head and my creativity. I made it by myself but my family gave me constructive criticism. I had originally planned to shape a bottle tip out of fabric but then I realized that a baby hat was the perfect shape!                       Where did you make it?             I made it at home. I make a lot of gifts for people so now I have a new baby gift to give!                                                                                                                                                                                                         What did you learn?                   I learnt that sometimes when I have a vision in my head I should make it even though I'm used to working with step by step instructions.  The most challenging part was gluing on the ribbons, but that's also the part I am most proud of because it looks the most like a real bottle. If I would make it again I would buy a plain hat to make it look more like a real bottle.                                                                                                                                                                                                          To make this you will need:                                                                                                                                                                 -rubber bands                                                                                                                                                                                       -about 60 diapers                                                                                                                                                                                    -lots of ribbon                                                                                                                                                                                              - a baby hat                                                                                                                                                                                                -an empty girt wrap roll                                                                                                                                                                              - a cake platter                                                                                                                                                                                           - a piece of newspaper                                                                                                                                                                         - scissors, tape, and a glue gun,                                                                                                                                                              - clear wrapping paper                                                                                                                                                                                                         To make it:                                                                                                                                                                                               Tape the empty roll to the middle of the cake platter. Wrap diapers around it until the cake platter is covered. Put a rubber band around the diapers. Make 4 layers of the diapers. If the roll is too long, cut it. Glue a piece of ribbon to the cake platter, underneath the diapers.  Glue the other end of the ribbon to the inside of the roll, on top of the bottle. Continue gluing ribbon until the diapers are covered, adding decorative ribbon in between. Glue the sides of the ribbon down on the ribbon next to it. Stuff a newspaper into the baby hat and stick it on top of the bottle. Glue a thick piece of ribbon in between the bottle and the hat. Glue decorative ribbon on top of it. Wrap it up and you have a beautiful baby gift!
