Homemade Stick Pic for Your Treking Pole

when backpacking or just hiking I often find that i am alone and when if want a picture of my self it always ends up blurry and out of focus. so after looking around online for a small tripod, i found the stick pic which you screw you camera on then push the stick pic on the end of your hiking pole. i fell in love with the idea until I saw the price $11 for a plastic ring and a bolt! realising that i could make this far cheaper set out to do so.

supplies:
-one plastic bottle cap
-one 1/4" -20 bolt
- and one matching nut
-super glue

Tools:
-hand drill
-1/2" drill bit
-1/4" drill bit

1.drill a 1/2" hole in the bottom of the cap
2.drill a 1/4" hole in the side of the cap
3.place a dab of super glue around the 1/4" hole
4. thread the bolt in to the 1/4" hole and screw on the nut
5. allow to sit until super glue has set.
