How to Make a Small But Awesome Throwing Axe

Picture 033.jpg

this is an easy to make and easy to use throwing axe that can be made at home for practically free if you know where to look for the materials. it is more of a shuriken with one long arm, but i like to just call it a throwing axe.  just promise me not to hurt anybody, or yourself. and if you do i am not responsible for your actions.

Materials

ok, let's get started. find a piece of steel suitable for use. you can use cheap steel, it is not going to be a problem. you can use barrel hoop metal, it works just fine.

tools:
drill
drill bit
hacksaw
file
belt sander
WD40
a hammer
a vice
a cup of cool water
Materials:
a suitable piece of metal
super glue
a piece of steel the size of your drill bit

safety glasses are optional, if cr@p starts flying then turn your head to the side and squint.

Cut the Metal

cut the metal to a suitable size. mine is 3" by 6" and it works well. make sure it is not too small or too big.

Make It Nice and Pointy

sharpen the pieces to a point on both sides with a file or belt sander. dip it in cool water so it does not get too hot.

Sharpen It.

now sharpen the points to an edge that is sharp. it can be more or less sharp depending on your preferences.

Drill the Pieces of Metal

now you need to drill a hole through the two pieces at the part here they will be joined. i suggest spraying your drill bit with WD40 to cool and lubricate it.

Put It Together.

attach the to pieces that you just drilled. cut the steel rod to the diameter (or close) of your hole. make sure it is a snug fit but not too snug. slather the joint in super glue, and put the two pieces on top of eachother. place your piece of wire in the to holes through the whole thing. now take your hammer and pound the heck out of that thing until the two pieces are joined by a pin and super glue. it should hold up just fine.

Done!

your done! just test that sucker out on your fence! you should throw it like a shurikin, put a good spin on it and it should stick! have fun! be safe!
