How to Make an Arrow Quiver

In this Instructable i am going to show you how to make a cheap arrow quiver that can be for show or you actually use.It took me about two hours to make this.

Materials:

Leather or imitation leather, brown and green (i used the imitation stuff).

Green garden cord

plastic cap of a postage tube (about 3'')

Upholstery thread (or some kind of twine)

Tools:

Leather hole punch

Large darning needle or upholstery needle

Scissors

Find your green leather/ imitation leather and cut a rectangle 9 3/4'' (around 25cm) by 25 1/2 (around 65cm). This will be your main body. On each of the longer sides mark out every inch and cut out with the hole punch a large size ( 1/2 cm).

Next find your brown leather and cut the longest piece you can (mine was 35'') this is for the shoulder strap so make sure it fits well over your shoulder.The piece should be 1 1/2'' (around 4cm) wide.

Then cut a 1/2'' (around 2cm) piece at 50''.

Get the 1 1/2'' brown piece and fold this in half. Down the non-folded side use the hole punch evenly and make evenly spaced holes. Get the green garden cord cut to below double the brown length. Tie a hole in one end and thread through, look at the picture for guidance. Once you have reached the other end tie off and cut of the remainder.

Get the plastic bottle cap and draw around onto the back of the brown plastic add half an inch (2cm) around the edge and cut around.

Sow the brown material on the plastic lid using the upholstery needle and thread.Cut off the extra.

Sew the large green piece together using the long thin brown piece to form a large cylinder but leave the bottom 2''.Place the lid brown side down into the cylinder and sew onto the green piece. Finish the last 2''.

Sew the strap onto each end of the quiver.
