Instamorph Phone Case

First, you need to get some instamorph...obviously. Ordering online may take up to two weeks, depending on where you live

Now the really first step is to heat the instamorph materials that came in the bag. The temperature to heat at is about 150 degrees Fahrenheit. This step may take up to 2 minutes.

The next step is to take the instamorph out of the water and let it cool. When taking it out, it would be wise you use something made out of plastic to put the heated instamorph onto as anything else would stick to the material. I would also recommend letting it cool for at LEAST 10 seconds, as the material is very hot. You may notice as you start to mold the material that it is very malleable and stretchy...also bouncy. (:

The fourth step is to mold the instamorph around you phone to create the case. I would use as little material as possible as if you use too much and it hardens to the phone, it may be "impossible to get off." *I put quotes there because there is a way to get it off, but you might want to have some money saved up for a new phone if you catch my drift.* I used very little material to mold the case and I let it cool too long so it took almost an hour to get it off. I also scratched the back of my phone as you will see in the next picture. All I can say is "use with caution around electronic devices that you so desperately rely on."

after the mold of the case is hardened and OFF of your phone, you can do a number of things; you can leave the case as is and use the lumpy thing for the case, you can flatten the back of the case to get the lumps out by either cutting them off or heating it up and molding it by hand, or you can cut the case to make something cool. In my case, I cut around the corners along the length of the phone and made a second piece for the other side. It is completely your choice.

If you chose to make the case only on the sides, you will need a second piece. refer to steps 2-5. All you really have to do to mold is get around the edge. I would definitely use as little as possible for this as you do not need a lot to go around the edges.

After you are done, there is a number of things you can do; you can try to sell your case for money XD, you can take the case off and put your original case back on, you can make a new case from the materials, or you can look at the case and wonder why you just wasted 15 or so minutes on this.
