Love Cake

A VERY EASY tradition in Spain. Cake recipe that is not only delicious, but is especial for those you love!

Making the Batter

Ingredients;
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon Baking Soda

Mix the sugar and eggs until smooth. Add the flour and baking soda and mix again until smooth.

Oil the bottom and sides of the cake pan, then pour in the batter. Set oven to 260 C (475-500 F) and bake for 20 minutes.

Making the Frosting

Place a pan over medium heat and add 20 grams (1 1/2 tablespoons) of butter. Next add 100 grams of sugar (about 1/2 cup. You can add more or less to your taste). Add 5 teaspoons cocoa, and 3/4 cup water. Stir over heat until it is well mixed and thickens.

Finishing Up!

Almost done! Remove the cake from the oven and pre slice into squares. Pour the hot frosting over the cake. Be sure and cover all the top!

Let cool for a bit, then remove the cake pan.
