This instructable will teach you how to make a one sided rose bud perfect for adding to a duct tape bouquet or added to a hat (I've done both). All you will need is duct tape of your favorite color and green. I suggest you use a darker shade of green if you can but my walmart only sells lime green.

Note: I first learned to do normal duct tape rose from here - https://www.instructables.com/id/Duct-Tape-Rose/ but as i was making them i realized i could make a onesided bud. So alot of credit goes to Herrozerro for getting me started.

Make Your Stem

First you need to take a four inch long piece of green tape (more or less for what you do with it). Then you start rolling it sideways to make a tube for the stem for the bud. Some people suggest using wire, that's great for bouquets but this is really mainly for a hat

Fold

Now rip your duct tape that will be used for the petals into a 2 inch square approx. Then you fold top right corner down 1/3 left. Then take left top corner down 1/3 right. Then place a edge of the petal on your stem.

Finishing Up

Now you'll want to wrap your petal around the stem. simple. Then repeat step 2 to make more petals. Just make sure they are one side and are alternating as seen in the intro. Add as many or as little as you want.

Finishing Touches

Now you can secure your rose to a hard brimmed hat. I used two thumbtacks. If you wanted to add this to a larger flower, tape it coming out of the side of a big rose's stem. Don't forget to comment, rate, and all that good stuff.
