Mini Ninja Crossbow

DSCF2200.JPG
I had made a ninja kit and wanted something that could shoot. I looked for awhile on instructables but couldn't find something that matched what I wanted. I decided to just make it myself and it turned out great so I wanted to share my idea. This is a simple, surprisingly powerful crossbow that is only 12 cm. long.

Materials

DSCF2204.JPG
wire,
bamboo skewers,
fireplace matches,
small rubber band,
hot glue,
tape,

-tools
anything you find necessary to put this together, I used:
hot glue gun (obviously),
wire cutters,
needle nosed pliers,
scissors

Body

to build the body first cut 2 8cm. segments of the matches ( without tip)
then cut an 8cm. segment of a bamboo skewer (not pointy)
glue the pieces together into a v shape like in the picture

Bow

DSCF2217.JPG
cut a 6 1/2 cm. segment of skewer
stretch rubber band from end to end

glue bow to body 1 1/2 cm. away from tip with one part of the rubber band over body (see picture 1)
glue tip to underside of body on end with the bow (see picture 2)
add one mechanism holder on underside of body on the right (see picture 3)
add the handle on an angle next to the holder (see picture 4)
slide mechinism into holder and glue on other holder oposite the first (see picture 5 and 6)

Darts

cut 7 cm. sections of skewers with tips (measurements include tips)
add two pieces of tape opposite each other and trim for fins

Fire

this crossbow can hurt although I have shot at people
USE EYE PROTECTION
I am not responsible for any harm done with this weapon
this works great with toxicity's altoid ninja kit https://www.instructables.com/id/Altoid-Ninja-Kit/
(it doesn't actually fit)
