Mini Smoke Canon

Materials edited.jpg
what this really was was just an experiment when I was trying to make a match rocket. All it does is shoot a small (or large) amount of smoke into the air.

materials:
Scissors
Tin Foil
Paper Clip
Matches(wooden)
Linesman Pliers

Make Stand

bend base of the paper clip into an "o" shape and straiten center to form the stand in wich the canon sits on.

pictures are uploaded in order if bending

Cut Match Heads Off

you know the drill. take the pliers and cut off the match heads. Be careful when doing this as you can break them if you cut to close to the head.

I used touch matches because they were cheap.( 500 matches for $1.13 CDN)

Cut Tin Foil

cut tin foil into a square of 4cm x 4cm

Roll

take 1 match stick without a head and put it on the end of the tin foil.there should be enough space to be able to slip another match later on into the tube after putting 2 match heads in.while rolling, insert the other match stick into the other side so when it ignites the smoke comes out the other end of the canon

Final Project

when lighting, place heat source at bottom of stand where the flame is able to enter the chamber and ignite

CAUTION: stand is very hot after ignition.
stand may need to be replaced after some uses
