My First Metal Project: Assassin's Creed Hidden Blades
i learnt how to use a Dremmel/Drimmel this week. despite being terrified at first, i got down to work on two of my own hidden blades. one of which i started last year and just finished up this year. for the hidden blades, you'll need:
a Drawer Slide or two
a Dremmel/Drimmel
a sh@t ton of cutting heads for your Dremmel/Drimmel
somewhere safe to work.
protective clothing
superglue (depending on your budget)
a permanent marker
a cup (for the ball bearings)
Duct tape

Step 1: the First Tier
start by measuring out the length from your wrist to your inner elbow. in the picture, i have done that but wasn't quite sure on the actual length, that's why there are two lines. DRAW THE LINE ALL THE WAY AROUND THE DRAWER SLIDE SO YOU KNOW WHERE TO CUT THE TIERS.
head outside, plug your Dremmel/Drimmel into the mains, turn the power up to 4, attach a cutting head, then take the first tier of your drawer slide off. begin by cutting along the top of the line. then cutting the top into a blade shape. once you've done that, cut the tip of the blade off as i do not want to be responsible as there are some who would use it to kill.

Step 2: the Ball Cart and Base.
put the first tier to the side (away from anyone else)
take apart the ball bearing cart and slowly drop the balls into a cup. put the cup aside but keep it safe.
where you've marked on top of the ball bearing cart, cut the cart down to length and put it aside.
Note: you've probably changed the cutting head a few times already.
Do you see where you've marked the base? cut the base where the line starts and then put it aside. ALSO CUT THOSE TWO PANELS!!!
Bring back your blade, switch the Dremmel/Drimmel head to a sanding head and begin smoothening the sides of the blade and where it ends, as the cut may be coarse. do this for the ball bearing cart and then bring back your base. make two incisions on the back, take a pair of plyers and just yank the piece upwards, this will create a stopper on the back.
put it all back together to see if it all fits together. then take it apart again.

Step 3: the Locking Mechanism
you probaly saw a lock on the underside of the first tier, change the Dremmel/Drimmel head to a small drillbit, and break the rivets holding it in place. i'd reccommend turning the power up to 6 as you'll need DOUBLE SUN POWAAAA. The rivets should break and are REALLY hot!, once they've cooled, take the locking piece and mark where you want your blade to stop. make 4 small marks through the holes and then superglue it into place. leave it overnight.
Step 4: Putting It All Back Together
good morning all ;)
your superglue should have dried so begin to piece your hidden blade back together.
BROTIP: put the ball bearings into the cart 2X2, slide in, 2X2, slide in 2X2, slide in until the ball bearing cart is fully in.
slide your blade tier back on and test the lock, does it work? i hope so too. #
and voila, you have a steel hidden blade.
