IMG_9045.JPG
i took apart my nerf disk gun and changed the spring position so that it would be more pretentioned and thus have more force.
the pic. shows needed tools

first take out the shown screws
the black box next to the gun is the end cap for the stock attachment point
important to note that the ones indicated in pic 2 are longer than most
pic 3 is of all the types of screw taken out in this instructable and the # of each
note that the very short and the silver screws don't come out till later

the next step is to remove the caseing.
first pry as shown in pic 1
then pull back as shown in pics 2 and 3
pic 4 and 5 show the pin on the tactical rail.
it is worth noteing because it has a tendancy to fly off on it's own
whatchfor and prevent this

now remove internal screws
these are the very short ones and the silver one shown in step 1 pic 3

now you need to pull open the champer that houses the spring.
it may seem likeyou are breaking it but dont worry
you then remove the central pin and rubber cushin

IMG_9012.JPG
IMG_9014.JPG
IMG_9015.JPG
now you remove the firing arm
it must be turned around fully to remove it

IMG_9017.JPG
IMG_9019.JPG
now wrap the string around the end of the spring and pull it back
then place the firing arm back in such that the spring is pushing on it
this is different from the initial state in that the spring is now wound more

IMG_9023.JPG
IMG_9025.JPG
now replace the pin that holds together the spring and arm as well as the rubber cushin

IMG_9027.JPG
IMG_9005.JPG
IMG_9030.JPG
IMG_9029.JPG
IMG_9028.JPG
now close the central chamber
it will probably stick but just keep trying and it will eventualy fall into place
i have included pics of some of the places to particularly watch for catching

IMG_9032.JPG
replace screws

IMG_9036.JPG
IMG_9037.JPG
IMG_9040.JPG
IMG_9035.JPG
now replace the casing
to get it on you will need to use the blade screw driver like a shoehorn
you will see the orange plastic lighten as you do this, indicating the generation of micro-fractures and weakening of the material
this is completely OK though because it is in a tiny, non-load-bearing area

IMG_9044.JPG
IMG_8989.JPG
now just screw it all back together
remember where the long screws go

this step exists because the delete step button was not working when i made this instructable
