Painting Your Cordless Drill Battery
Hey everyone
I decided to make a instructables for my cordless drill paint job.
I have an old cordless drill from Bosch but the batteries weren't what they used to be...
So I decided to buy new ones, and because I wanted to know which were the new one and which the old batteries are, I came on the idea to paint the new ones in a nice color :) .
Taping
First I covered al the parts that I didn't wanted to paint, like the electrical points, the name blade, the technical information ect.
Sanding
Then I sanded the areas that I wanted to paint lightly with a 120 grid, both the batteries and the charger.
Be careful with the ventilation slots of the batterie charger, tape them very careful off.
Painting
Then I painted the batteries and the charger with a coat of red spray paint.
I was afraid if the tone of the red color would match with the red from the logo from Bosch but the end result was amazing in my opinion.
Drying
After the painting I let it dry for a couple of hours and then I went over it with a high grid sanding paper and gave it another coat of paint and let it dry again.
Final Result
I was very happy with the final result and after all it didn't took that long.
I hope I could give a little inspiration to other people ;)
greats
