The title gives everything away, but it is harder than it looks.

The idea is more of an inspiration for other broken houses, but you should build this one first as training.

Now, why would you want a broken house? So you can use it in a battle (or display) as a house that broke as a result of war.

In this hobby, a mistake blends itself in because the whole thing is a bombed mess.

You can drive your tank up onto this house and take pot shots on a tank in another house.

You can also buy "road", or long shingles (10 for 16$ at Rona).

The picture on the bottom is a certified plan (I'm not joking. my grandfather, blessed be he, certified it)

Your Tools

Img_0342.jpg
Most of these tools are pretty common.

tools not listed:
-pens
-screwdriver
-candle holder
-anything that you deem necessary

Supplies

Img_0351.jpg
Supplies not shown:
-model tank (for measurements)
-foam board (optional)
-JUNK

The Box

Img_0356.jpg
Take your box for oranges and, with the screwdriver and pliers (hammer if you need), disassemble it.

The Roof

Img_0362.jpg
take the floor tile and cut it along the "bricks".

The Stairs

Img_0425.jpg
Take one shorter panel of the box for oranges:
-mark "stairs"
-cut them out with the x-acto knife

Take the other short side of the box and cut off pieces for the stairs (these should match your steps stairs)

Put the stairs (one at a time) flat on the groove in the vice (make sure you put it on the gap), place the bolt on top of the gap, and hammer away until you brake them to the desired degree.

Then get the corners for the next step.

Making the Staircase

Img_0427.jpg
Img_0434.jpg
Put the stairs in between the corners to keep them upright as shown.

Stick the stairs on (if they're broken glue on a popsicle stick to keep them together).

The result is shown in the second picture.

Part of the House

Img_0449.jpg
Take the cedar planking and cut it to the length of your tank (1:32 model=10 inches or 30 cm.).

glue the chopsticks to the corners, so it forms a rectangle.

Glue the cedar planking onto this rectangle. When it dries, cut 1 of the chopsticks away (where it stands out).

The Ramp

Img_0456.jpg
take the sprue from the wooden model and snap, cut, or whatever it into small pieces.

Take popsickle sticks, toothpicks, chopsticks, broken sprue, and the two longest pieces of kindling wood and glue them together to make a ramp.

The "garage"

Img_0469.jpg
take the bottom of the orange box and make lines joining the 4 middle holes together.

Cut this square out. Take the pliers and twist pieces of of the hole.

Other Stuff

Img_0501.jpg
Take a thick piece of kindling and cut it as high as one of the corners. Glue them as pilars onto the "garage" and then tie the garage to the main building with the metal wire.

Take a long box side and cut in a sort of wavy way. Take a piece of kindling and cut off 2 pieces for the side the tank will drive on from.

Then into the candle flame it goes.

note: the soot is caked on. It will come off if you wipe it

Firing

Img_0506.jpg
Img_0503.jpg
Now you can "burn" the rest of the model.

Constucting the Rest

I lost all the other photos.

Anyhow, I will still guide you through the construction.

there are two ways to continue:

(1): you can assemble the sides on your cutting mat, and then glue them onto the frame you can assemble with the skewers and wire (recomended).

(2): you can assemble the frame(as directed above), then you can build up from the floor (like i did).

Details, Details

here are all the finishing touches:

-flame your model(if you did it like me,first hold the entire model over the candel, and char the outsid, then use a mixture of black paint and sawdust for the inside

-take a piece of the floor tile and cut inward, but not creating any separate parts. then take the pliers and rip the pieces off.

-use the plastic sprue and broken pens as pipes

-use the foam board as extra walls

The End
