Depending on what thing of cake mix you bought to make, the directions vary but this is how mine was. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Take a bowl and mix up about 18.25 ounces of packaged cake mix, 1 1/3 cup water, 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil, and 3 large eggs. Mix this for about 30 seconds on low with a mixer until moistened. Grease the pan with pam and pour in cake mix, spread it even. place cake in for about 30 - 32 minutes. Cool cake in the pan, this is much easier to work with in later steps.

Crumbling the Cake

Now since the cake is cool, take some rubber gloves (its a lot easier) and put them on. Take your hands and crumble the cake until its like sand. This part can be easily ruined so do not mash the cake in your hand gently just crush the cake.

Take your large bowl and move the crumbled cake into the large bowl. Now get your icing and put at least the whole jar (16 ounces) into the bowl. Stir the cake and icing together until the icing is mixed into the cake all the way. Once that is done get your cookie sheet and place enough wax paper over the sheet. Get out your small cookie scoop and scoop enough cake mix to fill the scoop up till the top, with rubber gloves on drop the cake mix from the scoop in your hands to roll it up into a perfect ball. Placing the ball on the cookie sheet you should use up all the batter to cover the entire sheet with balls. Finally in forming the cake ball put the cookie sheet into your fridge for 3 to 12 hours.

Adding a Toothpick

Now take your cake balls from the fridge and get your toothpicks ready. Once the cake balls are out of the fridge take a toothpick and stab the cake ball about half way through the ball. Repeat this step until all the cake balls have a toothpick in them. Be sure to put the cake balls back into the fridge!

Mini Paper Cups

Get out your cookie sheet and your mini paper cups, Place the paper cups on the paper sheet until the entire cookie sheet is covered.

Refer to my other instructable www.instructables.com/id/tempering-almond-bark/ on how to temper the almond bark. Now get your tempered almond bark of your choice. Get out your cake balls from the fridge, grab the cake ball from the toothpick and dip it into the melted almond bark. To get the excess of by shaking the cake ball, when all of the excess is off grab the toppings and drop them on the cake ball. Now place the cake ball in one of the mini paper cups on the cookie sheet and slowly pull out the tooth pick. Finally let the cake ball dry and repeat this step until all of the cake balls have been dipped in almond bark and have toppings. Also i threw in some other pictures of ideas for different toppings.

Optional Cake Pops

This is one little option you can do but is a little more time consuming. In step #5 instead of putting toothpicks in, put in lollipop sticks in. Now take a block of Styrofoam and push the lollipop stick into the Styrofoam to stand up the cake balls. And you do not have to do step #6, last put a bag of cellophane over the dry cake pop and twist tie the end or tape the end with cellophane tape.

Enjoy

Hope you liked this instructable and please tell me what you think about my cake balls.
